Chinese Language Demonstration Class
In order to implement the 'society-oriented' teaching requirements of the new curriculum standards and deepen the contextualized teaching practice of Chinese for lower grades, while fully leveraging the exemplary and leading role of outstanding teachers, on April 16th, teacher Zhu Lijuan from the Chinese Department of the Primary School Division delivered a demonstration lesson titled 'Lotus Leaves Are Round' for the top-notch teachers, which created a high-quality classroom full of creativity and warmth for the teaching of lower-grade Chinese.
To be concrete, the entire class began with an engaging introduction powered by AI, linking various activities such as drawing exercises, diverse reading, collaborative performances, and sentence expansion, which precisely catered to the cognitive characteristics of young students. In the meantime, teacher Zhu Lijuan connected the recognition and reading of new words, reading comprehension, and language training through immersive scenarios, guiding students to understand the new words through physical experiences and feel the poetic charm of the summer pond through role-playing. Thus, the teaching of character recognition, reading training, and aesthetic enlightenment were deeply integrated in the class, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere.
To summarize, not only did this class demonstrate Zhu Lijuan's solid teaching skills and innovative teaching design, but also provided a replicable practical model for contextualized and entertaining teaching in lower grades of Chinese, which also promoted the development of lower grade Chinese teaching research activities.
